Zen Word For Better Communication #38 明日不期 Myonichi-wo-kisezu

Do not count on tomorrow.

Lazy people always assume they have tomorrow, so they waste today.  Zen teaches that tomorrow is never guaranteed.  Therefore, we must live and work as if today is our only and ultimate opportunity.

Eliminate Procrastination – If a decision can be made today, make it today.  If a task can be done now, do it now.  Pushing things to tomorrow drains our energy and slow down the team.

Radical Focus – This Zen word is the ultimate form of mindfulness.  It means stopping our worries about the future or regrets about the past and poring 100% of our energy into the execution right in front of us.

Let’s not wait for tomorrow.  Let’s make an impact right now.

For international companies looking to grow in Japan, entering the market is about more than simply finding customers.  It’s about taking the first step, meeting the right people, understanding the market, and building trust.  Start today.  Build meaningful relationships.  Create new opportunities.  Let’s grow together in Japan.  ー K.Kato
